Samuel Burchfield M.D.
Dr. Burchfield is board certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. He attended medical school at University of Texas in San Antonio, Texas. He moved to Paragould in 1997 after completing a residency in Family Medicine at Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Burchfield Family Medicine was established the same year and moved to its current location in 2003.
Dr. Burchfield has served as Chief of Staff at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center from 2007 through 2008 as well as on several hospital committees. He has been named "Paragould's Favorite Physician" by the readers of the Paragould Daily Press in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2014, and 2019. He is also Premiere Magazine's "Doctor of the Year" in 2015 and 2019. Dr. Burchfield was named among AY's "Best Healthcare Professionals" in 2018. In 2016 he received the national Patient's Choice Award.
Dr. Burchfield is married to Sharon, has four children, Rachel, Amanda, Sara, and Samuel. He also has four grandchildren and counting.
Ryan Harris M.D.
Dr. Harris graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Honors Biology. As an undergraduate, he served as president of Sigma Nu Fraternity, completed honors research in vaccine development, and in 2018 received the Senior Honor Citation awarded to the most outstanding senior male graduate of the University of Arkansas. He then earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed his residency at Halifax Health Family Medicine Residency where he served as Chief Resident. Upon his graduation, he was awarded the Senior Resident of the Year as well as the Gillespie Award for characteristics exemplifying a caring physician. During his training he also completed the Sports Medicine Track while taking care of high school, college, and professional athletes. He is currently a Titleist Performance Institute level three provider as well as an OnBase University certified health professional offering specific evaluations and training for athletes.
Dr. Harris' current professional interests include ultrasound imaging to offer his patients a direct, in clinic option of medical imaging. His personal interests include CrossFit, golf, snow skiing, and traveling with his family and friends.
Suzanne Bushong APRN
Suzanne is a 1985 graduate of Arkansas State University where she received her Bachelors in Nursing and her Registered Nurse Practitioner. She is a 1989 graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School Advanced Nurse Practitioner program where she received additional training in Adult and Women’s Health. Suzanne received National Certification in 1998 as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Suzanne is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She was a founding member of the Northeast Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association where she served as the first president of the organization. She also serves as preceptor to local students in Nurse Practitioner programs.
Suzanne has a varied work background which includes working at Arkansas Department of Health, Paragould Doctor’s Clinic, Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center, and Senath and Gideon, Missouri Health Clinics. She currently works with Dr. Samuel Burchfield at Burchfield Family Medicine.
Suzanne has two children, Logan and Jake.
Jamie Jordan, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Jamie graduated with honors in 2003 from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In 2006, she graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program at Arkansas State University, earning a Master's of Science in Nursing. She is Board Certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Prior to coming to Burchfield Family Medicine, Jamie practiced as an FNP in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas for 3 years. She has been practicing at Burchfield Family Medicine since 2009.
Jamie is married and has two children.
